1991 Lifetimer model 1950 WeatherMaster with enclosed Cabin.
Hull Design:
The hull design is a heavy gauge, all aluminum hull ideally suited for fishing. The sides are not too high nor are they too low relative to the water, so it isn't difficult to set your gear nor is it difficult to net or release a fish. Length is 19.5 feet. Width is 8 feet. Exterior depth is 43? from the gunwale (side edge trim) to keel. Interior depth from side rail to floor is 26 ½?.
The interior (cabin) floor boards are painted plywood. The exterior floor boards (outside of the cabin) are aluminum floorboards to minimize slipping and eliminate rot.
Fuel tank is 40 imperial gallons. There are two lockable doors at the back of the boat, between the transom and below the motor well, that can be used to house the gas tank for the kicker, batteries and miscellaneous items (eg fish tub, etc).
The Cabin:
The cabin all aluminum and lockable. Cabin is sealed to isolate the interior of the cabin from the back of the boat. The lockable cabin allows storage of fishing gear so that you don?t have to pack the gear back and forth between the camper and boat.
Cabin is equipped with four seats. Two front seats have storage compartments underneath. One of the back seats is a pedestal type and other is a box type with lift up lid and removable toilet below.
There is lockable storage under the deck which is accessed from below the dash.
The Dash has instrumentation for tilt, rpm, battery voltage indication. It also has toggle and pull switches for sump pumps (there are two, one in cabin and one at the rear of the boat), battery selection, windshield wipers, horn, and fuel indication. A compass is also mounted on the dash. A glove compartment is also built into the dash.
Rain Tarp:
A custom rain tarp (blue) is an extra adder to the cabin for the purpose of keeping the rain off those who are tending to the lines or brining in a fish. It also keeps the sun off on those hot days and adds to keeping the cabin cool.
Electrical Wiring:
The boat is wired for electric Scotty downriggers but the boat comes with manual downriggers. The boat is also wired to fit two batteries so that one battery can be charged while the other is in use. This will avoid a dead battery should the down riggers see considerable use over a couple days of heavy fishing.
Main Motor:
The boat originally came with an Evinrude 2-stroke motor which failed on us unexpectedly. We replaced the origianl motor with a new 4-stroke 115 HP Yamaha motor in 2001. This motor has only 28.5 original hours and runs like a dream.
Kicker (trolling) Motor:
The kicker is a 1994 Honda 9.9HP 4-stroke motor that has the regular handle throttle and side mount shifter. It is a pull start. A custom easily removable stainless steel linkage is included which can be used to link the main motor and kicker so that you can steer the boat from the cab while fishing. This linkage is easily removed so that the kicker can be fully extracted in the tilt up position to allow you to run the boat using the main motor.
Trailer:
The trailer is a custom build heavy duty trailer with side boat guides for easy loading of the boat onto the trailer. The brakes are drum with surge control as opposed to Electric which require more maintenance if the trailer is in and out of salt water. There are two winches; the main is electric and a backup which is manual. There is also a spare tire mounted on the reach of the trailer.
Electronics:
The boat comes with a basic Garmin fish finder / depth sounder that does not have a GPS nor does it have navigational maps. The radio is just a CB. These are not big ticket items relative to everything else but both of these items worked well for us and met our needs for fishing and communicating with our friends (via CB) in other boats.
Miscellaneous Items:
The boat comes with a set of electric air horns. It also comes with a custom metal saddle which fits the back end of boat near the transom to stabilize the boat should you need to jack the boat to remove the trailer.
Maintenance and Storage:
The boat is in excellent shape. The boat was kept under cover for most of the year except those couple of weeks each year when we went fishing. Routine maintenance was performed on the trailer and motors.
